The next big Pokémon release is here, and this time it's Rayquaza making its grand comeback. Mega Evolution: Delta Reign lands on November 6, and Mega Rayquaza ex is back in the TCG for the first time since XY Ancient Origins. For those of us who were around back then, it felt like a little nostalgic punch straight to the chest.
Rayquaza is joined by Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex, and Mega Golisopod ex, making for a total of four new Mega ex cards to hunt down. The set features over 135 cards, more than 20 Trainer cards, and over 35 special illustration cards. In other words, plenty of things to go broke over.
The really interesting news is something called Legendary Stadium. Two Stadium cards that belong together and are played as a pair, forming an extended illustration that stretches across both cards. A neat little puzzle-piece trick. Three such pairs are in the set, and we're guessing at least one person will place them side-by-side just to admire the art before they even play with them.
In terms of products, you can expect booster packs, booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, and various collections when it finally drops. Just as usual, in other words.
And for those of you who absolutely cannot wait until November 6: the Japanese sister set Storm Emeralda is already out and will soon be in our stock. Same card history, Japanese text, in your hands a little earlier. Keep an eye out.
